Come early and enjoy a Coffs Coast kick-starter on us! Grab an Artisti coffee from the OCD Van or choose from a variety of Red Sparrow Teas.

8am: Welcome to the day

Welcome to FoodCon 2018 from Fiona Barden, Coffs Harbour City Council, and a run through of the day from our MC, Kerry Grace. Mayor Denise Knight will welcome our first special guest, Rose Wright.

Grab yourself an Artisti coffee or Red Sparrow Tea and choose from a selection of yummy treats baked by North Coast TAFE hospitality students. Learn how the new TAFE SkillsPoints are working in close partnership with industry to design training that looks to the future and responds to emerging trends.

11am: Special guest: Airlie Trescowthick, Farm Table

A young farmer and innovator committed to making a difference to Australian agriculture, Airlie is the Founder and Managing Director of the Farm Table and Farmer Exchange. Learn how she is using online collaboration to connect and educate Australian farmers in new and exciting ways. Airlie will join us via Skpe on the big screen from her home in Deniliquin. Read more…

Joshua Cook, Coffs Harbour Fishermen’s Coop. Josh will share learnings from the 2018 National Seafood Industry Leadership Program and explain how the Fishermen’s Coop is working with local business and showcase their Australian-first online seafood auction system.

Get to know members of our regional food industry in this fast and fun ‘speed-dating’ session. Connect with people who share your values and create ideas for working together.

1pm to 3pm: Producers Expo

More than 20 different Mid-North Coast producers and businesses showcasing their produce, products and services. Enjoy tastings, make great contacts, and make the most of this networking opportunity – and you can feast from the Local Food Lunch stations at the same time.

Featuring food stations using local produce and products from the Coffs Harbour Fishermen’s Co-op, Ground Earth Woolgoolga, Jessica Boardman Catering, Sarah’s Eats & Treats, and the team at The Palms, Tormina Hotel. Plus local beverages.  Eat, drink, chat and enjoy!

2.30pm to 3pm: Two minutes to success
